Shooters and Fishers Party MLC, Robert Borsak, says the State Government's new electoral funding laws, passed by a deal with the Greens last night, are an attack on small parties like the Shooters and Fishers Party.
He said the Legislation limits and restricts who can donate to a party, and how much money they can donate.
"The new law will make it illegal for your shooting or fishing club to donate money on your behalf to the Shooters and Fishers Party."
"In future, shooters and fishers will need to donate small amounts directly to the Party.
"The Christian Democrats moved an amendment on our behalf to remove not-for-profit organisations and community groups from the new laws, but the Liberals, Nationals, Labor and Greens all voted against the amendment.
"The shooters and fishers in general in New South Wales will need to start donating small amounts every year, say a $10.00 donation each, once a year, directly to the Party.
"This is the only way we will have the cash resources to fight for our rights," Mr Borsak said.
